These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of wolfyn.com and the Wolfyn study service, including its practice questions, worked answers, mock exams, AI tutor, AI marking, vocabulary, formulas, syllabus tools and any related content and features (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Masters Finance Academy (“we”, “us” or “our”).
By creating an account, signing in or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Please read these Terms carefully. In particular, please note sections 7, 8, 18 and 19, which explain the educational nature of the Service, the limits of AI features, and the limits of our responsibility to you.
In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. Words such as “including” and “for example” are illustrative and do not limit the words that come before them.
The Service is owned and operated by Masters Finance Academy. You can contact us at any time at support@wolfyn.com.
To use the Service, you must:
The Service is intended for individuals preparing for accountancy examinations for their own personal, non-commercial study. If you wish to use the Service on behalf of an organisation, such as a tuition provider, university or employer, please contact us first.
You need an Account to use most of the Service. You can create one using an email address and password or by signing in with Google. When you create an Account, you agree to:
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your Account, except where that activity results from our own failure to take reasonable care. We are not liable for any loss caused by someone else using your Account where you have failed to keep your login details secure.
Wolfyn provides exam-style practice questions with worked answers, organised by ACCA paper, syllabus area and topic, together with tools to help you plan and track your study. Features may include practice sessions, timed mock exams, a Mistakes list, saved questions, vocabulary and flashcards, formula sheets, a syllabus path, an on-screen calculator and scratchpad, an AI tutor and AI marking of written answers.
The questions in the Service are original practice material written or generated for Wolfyn. They are designed to reflect the style and syllabus of the examinations, but they are not past or live examination questions, and they are not provided by or approved by ACCA.
The exam-style screens in the Service are designed to help you become comfortable with answering questions on a computer. They are not a replica of, and do not represent, the software used in any real examination.
We are continually developing the Service. We may add, change or remove features, papers, questions or Content at any time, as described in section 14.
Wolfyn is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected with ACCA. ACCA® is a registered trademark of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Names of examinations, papers and syllabus areas are used only to describe what the practice material is intended for.
Nothing in the Service is an official statement of ACCA’s syllabus, examination rules, marking policies, pass marks or procedures. You should always refer to ACCA directly for authoritative information about your studies, examinations, registration and results.
The Service is a study aid only. It is designed to support, not replace, your own study, your tuition provider, ACCA’s official study resources and the guidance of your tutors and employer.
While we work hard to make the Content accurate and useful, we do not guarantee that:
The Content is provided for exam preparation. It is not accounting, tax, audit, legal, financial, investment or other professional advice, and you must not rely on it as such. You should obtain appropriate professional advice before acting on any matter relating to real-world accounting, tax, legal or financial decisions.
If you find an error in any Content, please report it using the report option on the question or by contacting us. We aim to review reports promptly, but we do not promise to make any particular change.
Some features of the Service use artificial intelligence, including the AI tutor and AI marking of written answers. By using AI Features, you acknowledge and agree that:
You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to, or help anyone else to:
We may investigate any suspected breach of this section and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing User Content, limiting your access, or suspending or closing your Account.
The Service and all Content, including the Wolfyn name, character, logo and branding, are owned by or licensed to Masters Finance Academy and are protected by copyright, trademark, database rights and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access and use the Service and Content for your own personal, non-commercial study during the time you have an Account. You may print or make notes from small extracts of Content for your own private study, provided you do not distribute them.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you. Any trademarks of third parties referred to in the Service, including ACCA®, remain the property of their respective owners.
You keep ownership of any intellectual property in your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, display and use your User Content to the extent necessary to provide, maintain, secure and improve the Service, including to mark your answers, generate tutor replies, show you your progress and review your reports. This licence ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, except where we need to keep it as described in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm that:
We are not obliged to monitor User Content, but we may review, remove or refuse to process any User Content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.
We welcome reports of errors and suggestions for improvement. If you send us a report, suggestion, idea or other feedback about the Service, you agree that we may use it freely, without restriction and without any obligation to you, including to correct and improve Content and features.
We will consider reports in good faith, but we are not required to respond to, act on or implement any particular report or suggestion.
The Service is currently provided free of charge. We may in the future introduce paid plans, subscriptions or premium features. If we do, we will tell you clearly about the price and any additional terms before you are charged, and you will not be charged unless you choose to purchase a paid plan.
Introducing paid features will not, by itself, entitle you to receive them free of charge, and we may decide which features remain free.
We aim to keep the Service available and working well, but we do not guarantee that it will be available at all times, uninterrupted, timely, secure or free from errors, viruses or other harmful components. Access may be suspended, restricted or interrupted for maintenance, updates, security reasons, failures of third-party services or events beyond our control.
We may change, update, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, or any Content or feature, at any time. Where a change is likely to have a significant adverse effect on you, we will try to give you reasonable notice. Progress data relating to questions or features that are changed or retired may no longer be shown.
You are responsible for the devices, software and internet connection you need to use the Service, and for any charges associated with them. Information stored only in your browser, such as scratchpad notes, may be lost if you clear your browser data or change device, and we are not responsible for that loss.
The Service relies on and may link to services provided by third parties, such as Google sign-in, hosting providers and AI model providers. Your use of a third-party service may be subject to that third party’s own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites or content, and the inclusion of a link does not imply that we endorse it.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we will process your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may stop using the Service at any time. To close your Account and have your personal information deleted, contact us at support@wolfyn.com.
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service, or close your Account, with or without notice, if:
Where reasonable, we will tell you why we are taking action and give you an opportunity to respond. When your Account is closed, your licence to use the Service ends immediately and your Account data will be deleted in line with our Privacy Policy. Sections of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including sections 10, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 22 and 24.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties, representations, conditions or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory.
Without limiting the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including any warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement and quiet enjoyment, and any warranties arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade.
Nothing in this section affects any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are only responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Masters Finance Academy and its owners, staff and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, your User Content, or your infringement of any law or the rights of any third party.
If you use the Service as a consumer, you may have legal rights under the laws of the country in which you live that cannot be excluded or limited by contract. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection law that applies to you, that law will prevail to the extent of the conflict.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you have a concern or complaint, please contact us first at support@wolfyn.com. We will try to resolve it informally and promptly, and most issues can be resolved this way.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere and use the Service as a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and you will keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of that country’s law.
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service, to our business or to the law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed.
If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know before they take effect, for example by displaying a notice in the Service or by contacting you. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you will be treated as having accepted them. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and may ask us to close your Account.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other terms we make available for particular features, form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier agreements or understandings.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
No waiver. If we do not insist that you do anything you are required to do under these Terms, or delay in taking action, that will not mean we have waived our rights and will not prevent us from taking action later.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, and we will make sure your rights under these Terms are not reduced as a result.
Events outside our control. We will not be responsible for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of third-party infrastructure, internet outages, cyber attacks, natural disasters, pandemics, industrial action or acts of government.
Third-party rights. These Terms are between you and us. No other person has any right to enforce any of their terms, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
Notices. We may give you notices by email to the address linked to your Account or by displaying them in the Service. You may give us notices by emailing support@wolfyn.com.
Language. These Terms are written in English. If they are translated, the English version will prevail to the extent of any inconsistency.
If you have any questions about these Terms or the Service, please contact Masters Finance Academy at support@wolfyn.com.
